Sold another few copies of my books recently; I'm up to 6 sold total (4 of Watership and 2 of Dreamscape)!
My first draft of Last Immortal is up to 36,000 words. I've already been through it from beginning to end once, so I know where the plot goes, and I'm going through it again to add subplots and the little bits of detail I skipped out on the first go around. I'll probably still only be at 40,000 words by the end, when I 'shelve' it for a few months before coming back to edit, but hopefully I'll use that time to think of more to add to the plot to push it to at least 65,000.

Finally! I used Amazon to self-publish my first completed novel, Dreamscape, on the 17th of January this year. I have even had a few sales since then, which is exciting.
Using the same process, I published my second novel, the post-apocalyptic science fiction, Watership! It's about the same length as Dreamscape--a slightly shorter 48k words to Dreamscape's 65k--and I'm quite proud of it. Check them both out here!! Dreamscape: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01APQ34OM?*Version*=1&*entries*=0 Watership: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AQW1S2U?*Version*=1&*entries*=0 I am now continuing to work on my third novel, a fiction novel of what genre yet, I'm not sure--probably fantasy; for while it doesn't have magic, it has an alien species, immortal humans, reincarnation, and a destroyed earth. It finally has a name, too: The Last Immortal. I'm 34k words into the first draft, so only 30k more and I will put it aside for a few months before coming back to edit it, re-edit it, and finally publish it! |
