The author, GM Kelso and I have been lucky enough to win Book Cover of the Year with the Houston Writer's Guild! He entered it in and it won Book Cover of the Month, and now we tied as winners for the title of Book Cover of the Year. A proud moment for my artwork specifically, but it's also writing related! :)
Check out my author interview here, by the lovely Kris Wampler!
I'm progressing in my WIP, Beneath the Eye, as well! Over 60,000 words and I'm really filling in the gaps--in the time I have spare! Christmas is going to be hectic, as I'm sure it is for everyone, so an early Merry Christmas to all you authors and readers out there.
Getting there! I can definitely see the end of Beneath the Eye--the first draft, at least--approaching! I'm going to get to 60k at least before I put it aside for a short break, but I've still got the goal of a total of 85k words by the time it's complete.
Very cool seeing the ending take shape.
Love this new review for Watership I just received, so glad to know people enjoy reading it!
Been a while since I updated! I've been working hard at Beneath the Eye, though not getting as much as I'd have liked done, since life has been so busy (new house, 2 new jobs, etc). I'm at 50k words, at least, and I know where I'm going!
Also, I was lucky enough to be chosen to feature in an author/artist interview at Nerd Fest! Check it out!!
I found this article the other day, and it covers a great deal of useful self-editing tips for authors. I'm currently in the first draft stage, but this will be very helpful for me later on, and I suggest checking it out!
The book I did a cover for ages ago, that proceeded to win a book cover competition! I can't wait to read it. :D
