Well, I received my SSN and have started the process of self-publishing, but I will be waiting on a bank account here in the US before I can! More waiting, since the bank account costs money in monthly fees, so I need to be employed first to afford it.
The two books I have completed, Dreamscape and Watership, are put aside until then. I'll give them *another* final read-through before publishing, once everything has been taken care of. In the meantime, I have found a magazine that publishes short stories to the tune of 12.5 cents per word, and I will be submitting a short story to them when submissions open in September. My current story, Cities of Refuge, is at 6,500 words and growing every day. It's fun to see the story and the world start to take shape as I figure it out while writing!
