Death was alien to them. The people of the world never knew death for as long as any could recall; yet when their world slowed on its axis, the atmosphere disintegrating, the immortals felt death for the first time. A wasting sickness ravaged their species. The old could not fight it, and the young who survived were permanently scarred by it, unable to ever bear children. Yet when it seemed that the sickness had passed, further destruction was laid upon them; the earth shattered. What was once a whole world became a mass of small shards of land held together, barely, with never-ending chasms separating them. But when an immortal girl appears, Kyrilee, who cannot catch the wasting sickness, she tells a tale of dreaming thousands of years past, of giving birth to a cat. Most dismiss her as mad, but some believe she is the one they have been searching for. The one who holds the key to curing the sickness, who can bring the people together once more. Kyrilee finds that she is no immortal, but instead a mortal body with an immortal soul, constantly reincarnating throughout the ages. When she discovers the cats, the descendants of the one she birthed in her dream, and she realises it wasn’t a dream at all. These creatures hold the key to restoring the earth. She must take this key from them before they enslave the humans.

Once Dreamscape was done, and the edits for Dance of Desolation were all written out and ready for me to change from author's notes to actual novel writing...I moved on to edit The Last Immortal! This one had far less edits than Dance of Desolation, and another release would give me the energy and enthusiasm, hopefully, to complete that last novel afterwards. :) So I'm about done with The Last Immortal and will be looking for reviewers who would be interested in checking it out for a free copy as of this coming Monday, the 1st of August! Finally, my complete and thorough revisions of Dreamscape are done! I added--simply by expanding several of the concepts introduced in the novel that needed it--almost 10,000 words!
Recommend you check it out, it's greatly improved and I'm kind of proud of it right now. :) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01APQ34OM Recently reviewed a novel, check it out here:
http://amzn.to/29Tvi6Q Only have 2 more scenes in Dreamscape to write, then I start the line-by-line editing! Unfortunately, my least favourite part... Halfway through editing Dreamscape! I have a few more big edits to do, then the line-by-line edits of ensuring continuity and just fixing up the wording as best I can!
I've also begun editing the first draft of Dance of Desolation; it shouldn't need too much work before it's ready, too. I expect to have both re-released Dreamscape, and released Dance of Desolation for the first time, by the end of this month. :D Editing of Dreamscape is definitely progressing! I have been expanding certain aspects of it, changing around the beginning a little to ensure the start is as interesting as possible, etc.
I have also created a new cover for Dance of Desolation! It and The Last Immortal will begin their first round of edits as soon as Dreamscape is done (by the end of this month), giving the remainder of my beta readers time to return their feedback! Watership is now on special for .99c, for a limited time! Many thanks to my fellow authors at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1132459036786385 for the promotional images!
Aiming for 50 sales during this promotion, any little bit helps! :) Check out this sci fi while it's on special: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AQW1S2U I've finished fixing up Watership--it was an easy one, as there weren't many fixes needed, but Dreamscape will be more difficult, as I have to expand on quite a few aspects, including the ending! It'll end up being my longest book so far, I think!
I'm also going to re-do Dance of Desolation's cover, as it gets closer to publication (starting to get those beta reading critiques back!) I want it to be the best it can be! |
